Website To Dispute Decline Outcome for R350 Grant Application [monthyear]

Here is the website to dispute the decline for the SRD R350 Grant application so that your application will be reconsidered or reviewed for the second time.

When applicants check their status online and are declined, they are directed to visit the website to dispute the outcome from SASSA. What happens is that, after applications are submitted, it goes through a series of procedures to validate and verify if the said applicant truly qualifies to be paid the SRD R350 Grant.

If the submitted documents meet the requirements, the applicant is approved for payment on the said date issued by SASSA.

However, if the application does not meet the requirements, the application is declined and the reason for the decline is categorically stated and in this case, such applicant has up to thirty (30) days to dispute the outcome decision and this process is what is called “application for reconsideration or appeal”.

The reconsideration procedure is discussed in the article below, just click on the link for the full instructions

SASSA has had challenges processing the reconsideration applications due to according to them, the shortage of staff. Thousands of applicants who have submitted their appeal applications for months have still not received any response from SASSA.

Although, SASSA has assured applicants that regardless of the number of months it may take to reassess their reconsideration they would still be paid if approved. They recently apologized for the delay and have asked affected applicants to bear with them.

During the earlier SRD payments, it took months for SASSA to approve those who applied for reconsideration as thousands were asked to go to the post office to collect their outstanding grants and just ended on 30th November 2022 . It is even believed that SASSA may have to extend the collection dates at the Post Office due to lack of funds and incessant light-outs at some collection points.

One thing is that, after the outcome of the dispute, the applicant cannot for the second time request for reconsideration again for the same month.
