I know that many of you have applied for the SASSA SRD R350 Grant, and unfortunately, have been declined. It’s tough to hear that news, but the good news is that you have the option to submit an appeal application. I also understand that many of you have submitted your appeal applications and are still waiting to hear back from SASSA.
It’s important to remember that SASSA is currently overloaded with administrative duties. They have promised to review all the appeal applications that have been submitted, but it may take some time. Now that the March 2023 module has been finalised, SASSA will be working on the outstanding appeals applications.

I know that waiting can be frustrating, but it’s important to exercise patience. Keep in mind that there are many others who are in the same boat as you. SASSA is doing their best to get through all of the applications as quickly as they can.
In the meantime, I encourage you to take advantage of any other resources that may be available to you. Check with local charities or community organizations to see if they are offering any assistance programs. Additionally, consider reaching out to friends or family members who may be able to help you during this time.
