March 2023 SASSA SRD R350 Grant

So far SASSA is yet to officially roll out the March 2023 module onto the platform. But those who have updated their records or reconfirm can now see their March 2023 already appearing.

We have unconfirmed reports that, it will start appearing starting from the the 7th of March 2023 and approvals followed by payments continues.

Applicants are therefore urged to exercise patience.

February 2023 SASSA SRD R350 Grant

February payments have already been made since February 24th and if you have been declined, then the only option available is to appeal using the appeals link https://srd.dsd.gov.za/appeals/appeal and it is the same link that will be used to check the appeal status.

Outstanding SRD R350 Grant Payment

For those who have been approved long time without pay dates are asked to submit their personal banking details to SASSA. And after verification, applicants can now receive their payments. It is estimated that over 1 million applicants have been approved without payments according to a report.

Appeals Applications

SASSA has so far closed the new appeal applications for April 2021 to March 2022 as appeals are time-bound. But for the month of April 2022 coming, applicants can start new appeal applications.

Approvals for appeals applications have not been consistent as some are approved whilst others are pending.

It has emerged that, applicants find it difficult to reach out to SASSA over their challenges related to the grant.

Source of Income

Alternative Income Source Identified remains the highest reason for the decline of applicants, but most of these applicants claims they are not employed. It is therefore possible that, amount received from other family members for other purposes have been intercepted and SASSA has flagged them as income source.
