SASSA has announced that the validity of expired SASSA Gold Card has been extended to 31 December 2023.
According to a post made on Facebook by SASSA, the Payment Association of South Africa (PASA) has agreed to extend all SASSA Gold cards which have expired or will be expiring very soon to the end of the year.
What that means is that, although the card may have expired, it can still be used for transactions as far as it is a SASSA Gold cards.
This has become necessary due to the fact that Post Office is finding it difficult to renew or replace SASSA cards that have been expired or misplaced.
In view of this, SASSA grants recipients with expired cards can continue use their cards at ATMs and merchants points to withdraw the money or make purchases.
This is a good news for SASSA recipients.
