New Process: Biometric Identity Verification
If you have been referred when checking your application status, we kindly request that you take note of the updated process. To pave the way for reconsideration of your application, SASSA now requires Biometric Identity Verification. This verification process helps ensure the accuracy and integrity of the application review process.
Here are the steps you need to follow:
- Contact the SASSA Hotline: Call the SASSA hotline at 0800601011. Our dedicated support team is available to assist you Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Request Biometric Identity Verification: When you call the hotline, explain that you have received a referral notification for your SRD R350 Grant application. You will need to request to undergo Biometric Identity Verification.
- Follow the Guidance: The hotline operator will guide you through the necessary steps for Biometric Identity Verification. Make sure to follow their instructions carefully to ensure a smooth process.
Please note that completing the Biometric Identity Verification is essential to have your application reconsidered. We understand the importance of the SRD R350 Grant and are committed to assisting you through this process.
