SRD Reapplication pending May 2022

Right now if you check your status for the SASSA SRD reapplication, it is pending for the month of May 2022.

SASSA has made it clear that the outstanding months of April and May 2022 will paid according to plan and as has already indicated April will be paid in July and May 2022 paid in August.

In a video broadcast available in the link below, SASSA CEO indicated that, they want to clear all arrears by the end of August and henceforth, the rest of the payments will be made right away without wasting much time.

Currently, most applicants have received their payments for the month of June 2022 and April 2022 is also approved for many applicants. Some even have their pau dates to be Friday and Saturday thus 15th and 16th respectively.

This is good news as applicants had to wait for months before getting their payments.

As has been the norm from the start, SRD R350 grant payments started in the second week of the month because regular SASSA grants are paid in the first week of every month.

Ast at December 2022 some applicants are yet to be approved and be paid.

Now the question is when will July 2022 payments starts? It is more likely July payments too will continue in this month after the April 2022 module payment is completed.

Prior to start of the payments, sassa indicated there might multiple payments in a payment but not necessarily double payments at once. We are likely to witness that, in the month of July, April and July 2022 payments will be paid accordingly.

For the mean time keep checking your status from time to time as your status can change even in a few hours.
